I don't claim to be completely free from any wrong assumption, but my central question is: Why the AfD? A german party full with racism, as a matter of fact. There is no correction to the "national side" backwards as you've noted in your blog-post. It's just that real Nazi's want their views back in the political everyday life! Hey there #Fediverse: I'd like to talk about a global problem. For now we have not the amount of aggressive talking-rounds here like having them on other platforms like #Twitter. Of course: Comparing the numbers it's just also the reason we are way smaller, but we have also no further demagogues or apologists for racism and sexism here by now. It's just a matter of time this could change. So even now we have a member of the german party AfD here. We had a talk about how to communicate with those participants and how to deal with the different knowledges. Not everybody knows about the AfD or other political parties having no further problem with racism and sexism.
Could we there help @freemo with this discussion regarding @rnitsch? -

@clacke hmm. I wonder if there is a way to set up a competitive bounty system to encourage and reward #fediverse apps adding new federated features? First app to add #ActivityPub group support, first app to implement #NomadicIdentity and channel cloning (inter-operable with #Hubzilla), that sort of thing. I would put some tokens into that.

@fraying @maloki so what you miss is the cross-section of people who followed the same journalists as you and commented on their posts? But you don't necessarily know those people, and even if you invited them to the #fediverse, that wouldn't automatically recreate that dynamic, any more than 5 severed fingers made a hand?

♲ @Jakobu (jakob@pod.orkz.net): My cousin, who a while ago dreamed about buying a cheap farmstead (yes, like everywhere else people move to the cities in Denmark) to have space for al his books. While thinking about it his imagination about a perfect self-sufficient habitat grew into some more complex thoughts about how to do things. He imagined that if he had a windmill that could make electricity, the problem with storing energy when it was windy might be solved by building a tower where a very heavy concrete block was raised by surplus electricity, and when there was no wind, a turbine could be powered using the heavy block and gravity's pull.
Now it seems he was very right about that. A similar idea made out of simple existing component have been invented.

Here is my short post about my move to Pleroma from Mastodon(.social):
I used Mastodon for many months with different instances and accounts. Recently I used mastodon.social for 3 months if I remember correctly.
I also registered after a few weeks on pleroma.site, because I was interested. However I didn't use it at all.
Mastodon has some missing features to be a better site, and I simple wasn't engaged in the past few months.
I am on Pleroma for less then a week and it is more colorful, I have more conversations. Mastodon(.social) feels like a gated community. I didn't do anything different on Pleroma. I use hashtags for the same stuff, in fact every stuff.
So I exported my followers list from mastodon, so I can follow them through my new account.
However you can't export people who follows you. You have to manually tell them that you are moving. Or at least I didn't find the option. I don't know if this is technically possible in the fediverse.
As I said I imported the people I follow to my pleroma account. And I started to discover the public timeline and others. For some reason when I write messages people see me more on Pleroma, than on Mastodon.
I like the UI of Pleroma and although it doesn't have the features I am missing from Mastodon (normal text search and quotable boosts), it feels more alive. And it is more alive.
Yesterday I wrote some posts about the new Steam beta Steamplay thing, and I had a couple of replies. I didn't have that on mastodon. I am a nobody in #fediverse, that's why I am happy to have this. I also don't care about numbers, I think meaningful convo is better measurement system than pure numbers.
Mastodon profile settings has a move option, where you can add your new account where you are moving to.
Which I just did. Probably their greatest feature, hahah.
I also like that Pleroma has some nice customization option for the UI, which now we can export and load. If you don't like the defaul UI, you can use the Mastodon UI too. But I think the default one is more clear.
I really don't want to write more, this is more than enough.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch, #Fediverse: Jetzt gibt es die klaren Diskussionen über #Privilegien auch hier. Finde ich persönlich richtig, gut und wichtig. Und wieder einmal zeigt sich ganz konkret wo die sprichwörtliche Bruchstelle hinsichtlich "Toleranz" liegt. Es ist eben ein "Dulden", aber kein wirkliches Miteinander. Du da, ich dort in meiner Blase. Und was dann durchkommt, entscheide ich.
Mag durchaus eine gewisse Zeit lang funktionieren. Aber eben nicht ganze Zeit und genau JETZT ist der Zeitpunkt gekommen darüber zu reden. Aber wie so oft ist genau der Umkehrschluss zunächst der Fall und die Phrase "Verstehe ich nicht." immer noch im Einsatz. Ich denke da kann man noch so gut erklären: Es wird auch das gesprochene Wort nur bedingt etwas helfen. Vielleicht einmal eigene Betroffenheit? Wenn man sich schon durch weißer CIS-Mann angesprochen fühlt ... muss da wohl ein gehöriges Maß an identitärem Gefüge derweil verletzt sein. Ihr möchtet KEINE Schubladen? Gut, aber lasst Andere bitte dann auch erst einmal aus ihren Schubladen heraus. #Gedanken #Meinung -
