@david_ross Just quietly, a reader-only version of #Firefox for #E-Reader devices with network capability would be really handy.

Is there a setting in #Firefox based browsers to turn #ReaderView on by default, with an opt-out list for sites I want to use as web applications (eg Mastodon sites)? It would be even better if setting Reader View as default avoided downloaded all the surplus website bloat at all, instead of stripping it off during display.

@Shufei @david_ross would be good if #WebRTC can be turned on and off as needed, with the user explicitly giving permission for each site trying to us it, like #Firefox does with cam and mic

@Shufei @david_ross well, vanilla #Firefox does come a proprietary #Adobe #EME module bundled with it, so scepticism is definitely healthy when it come to #Mozilla software these days

Mozilla is putting tracking protection front and center so you'll have more privacy online
      from CNET
The browser makes it easier to find and use tracking protection, which stops website publishers and advertisers from following you around online.

I did a few #benchmarks to figure out which is the top performing web browser in #Linux.

After requesting the input from #LinuxRocks, these were the 5 browsers I decided were representative enough to include in the test:

    #Chrome
    #Falkon
    #Firefox
    #Opera
    #qutebrowser (WebEngine)

Thank you all for the suggestions, next time I should also include smaller ones. Thank you @kelbot for letting me know about Falkon. I'm sure @hund will enjoy the final winner:

After a few hours with the Temporary Containers addon, I can reveal that this addon is *awesome*. It's just what the Containers system needed - I was already using an "Untrusted" container, but this is much better. Go use it!

Want to keep your web traffic isolated?

#Firefox provided a while ago an addon for multi-user-containers that allows you to isolate various pages from each other:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/multi-account-containers/

Now you can just create masses of these containers with a short life-time:

@thori

@thori Nur bedingt besser.

#Stop-Playing-Bullshit #Mozilla
