Talked to #sonTwo on #Fathers_Day. Left #sonOne a message to focus on enjoying time with my granddaughters. #Daddy_A is still suffering phone anxiety, so I expect he'll text in a few days to tell me he couldn't handle a call today.

I enjoy this day. Dad's been gone fifty years, so I don't get to share it with him, but I've tried not to let that hinder these guys' enjoyment (currently 40, 30, 29 years old).

I'm wearing the #Fathers_Day outfit that #sonTwo sent me. If @dog flew down here overnight (since he wasn't sleeping), I'll know it when he jumps out and yells "Pee pee!" to embarrass me and tells me he recognized me by my clothes. https://nu.federati.net/attachment/144440

@moonman You need someone in your life that is willing to keep you honest. In my near-daily phone call with #sonTwo, I get asked about my eating and exercise. He's not afraid to call me out if I'm going the wrong direction for too long, either.

Media player spontaneously started last night. Weird Al "I'm Fat" followed by Eagles "Hotel California". I was typing this during my evening walk when #sonTwo called, so I'm sending it 10 hours later.

I was on the phone with #sonTwo, discussing my plan to buy #2DS and #3DS systems for his nieces #GD1 and #GD2. He says "You're just going to spend all your money".

I still like Diet Coke and especially the lime-flavored version.

Fun fact: When #sonTwo was 12-16, he would drink all of whatever soft drink I had within a day or two (except Pepsi, but I don't like the taste either). I discovered that I could buy a six pack of DC lime and drink one every day or two without discovering during thirst-quenching time that he'd drank them all.

#Fathers_Day presents from #sonTwo arrived. I'm not expecting others, since they didn't ask where to send them.

Neither paying attention nor actively ignoring #E3. If I need to know something game related, the kids (including #sonOne, #sonTwo, #Daddy_A, @mike and Colby @dog ) will tell me.

"Stand perfectly still, so they think we're statues. Don't move a muscle!"
A #SoCal "fun center" used to have a place on their mini-golf course where there were two statues and a recorded loop that said this. #sonTwo hated it, because once we passed that spot, I'd be saying that for the rest of the day.

On the phone with #sonTwo. Venting about some family member's financial habits and hearing that the reason #Daddy_A doesn't answer his phone is because he never knows that someone called.

@rye That says wonderful and scary things about you. I remember when #Daddy_A was so non-confrontational that part of #sonTwo's assigned job was to be the douchebag that chased off people who might take advantage.

#Daddy_A was whining on one of the #Lockiverse sites about not having anyone to talk to. #sonTwo called bull on his claim, pointing out that answering his phone automatically gets him someone who cares and wants to talk with him.

Recently, #sonTwo sent me a link to a house for sale in the #KC area. I like what I see. Today I noticed that a house directly across the street is also for sale. I'm not a "bigger is better person", but on the surface, the 2nd home (the larger) is the better of the two, even though I like the looks of the first home more.

I'm still not in a position to move, but I'm motivated.

Fun fact: When #sonTwo and #Daddy_A were in high school, I started pronouncing "knife" as "kuh-NIFF-fee" ... fifteen years later, I still do, except when I'm talking about "Knife Party" (B-B-B-Bonfire!).

I've been walking past "Condom World" every night for two month and never noticed it? #sonTwo will get a laugh out of this, and so will @mike and Colby @dog .

@mike If you lived in close commuting distance, I'd kidnap you and go see a movie & play some arcade games tonight. Seeing @minego's arcade posts reminds me of good times with #sonOne, #sonTwo, #Daddy_A and their friends.
