**The Sunny D one isn't even a joke or a paraphrase. It's an actual thing they tweeted from their corporate account. The Moon Pie brand account then asked if they were OK...WTF?!

tldr - they're very similar but different enough to be their own thing.

@django The Halifax donair is, apparently, the original. It's similar to the Albertan variation, but without cheese or lettuce. And the sauce is a thicker, sweeter sauce, not the garlicky dill sauce that's often used out west.

Wow, that is shitty. I always just assumed this is what cishet men do when they're done having kids. I mean, yeah, it's a wee bit scary...but it's a onetime discomfort that lasts about a week and then no one in the couple needs to worry about birth control.

I had an acquaintance who moved from Edmonton to Montreal years ago and he said the thing he missed most was donairs. I had always assumed they were common everywhere, but apparently not.

Had my first Halifax-style donair. Wife wanted garlic fingers and didn't feel like making them at home, so we ordered from the newish east coast donair place, King of Donair. They do good garlic fingers and the Halifax donair was excellent. The pizza was just average.

They also offer the "Alberta donair" (as they call it), which has lettuce and cheese, and offends east coasters everywhere, but is a valid regional variation and I will fight you if you disagree Haligonians of Moosetodon. 😂

@JordiGH @awe It's a great job if you can get it, I guess? I'll tell you, there's no shortage of work for pharmacists were I live. It seems like a new pharmacy is opening every week...but that might also be driving down wages.
