Minor complaint about these clacks overhead addons: they don't let you memorialize multiple people. They should split based on commas.

500 character #lighttpd tutorial: create a conf.d/gnu.conf, add the lines server.modules += ("mod_setenv")\nsetenv.add-response-header = ( "X-Clacks-Overhead" => "GNU Natalie Nguyen" ). Include the new config file in your lighttpd.conf, restart lighttpd. All responses now include your GNU line.

Witches.town added a header with the contents "GNU Natalie Nguyen" to its http responses. I like this. re: @tipsytentacle .

When "new x" surpasses the population of the city it's named after, the older city should stop namesquatting. Looking at you, Old York.

I haven't even had #shephy for 20 minutes and I can tell this is going to eat up way too much of my time, as any good solitaire game should (@lnxw48a1 I guess because it's a really cheap #switch game?)

@lnxw48a1 Did you remember to create your new .pem file by catting cert and privkey?

The flood fucked with halloween but I think my next halloween costume will be max stirner. Mostly just an excuse to smoke and call things spooks all night.

@lnxw48a1 This is actually a pretty big problem because there are IETF documents which specifically refer you to stuff on status.net . IETF needs to come up with a way to handle this (ICANN reserves the right to transfer any domains referenced in IETF documents to the IETF in case its owner folds, maybe?)

So for those to whom I just disappeared last week: The town in which I live suffered severe flooding on Monday, my apartment was underneath over a foot of water. Thankfully Q (my server) was upstairs, but I was without power and I am still technically without a home as renovations go on, I'm living in a hotel room until repairs are fixed.

Well that was a fucking wild ride.

I'm not entirely convinced that there's no market for a cable package in america that's literally "this is a cable package you'd get in japan"
-
The only real problem is that when you get those industry vs academia matchups in every episode I've seen academia loses because they're more interested in exploiting some cool property than actually solving the problem. In paper planes it was a stunning victory though, a plane built to make use of the ground effect to get a long glide wen most planes would have stopped ages ago.
-
Here's the premise: You have some problem (sliding a coaster down a bar, launching a world record paper airplane, etc.) and you get 2 teams to do it, 1 usually from the industry and one usually from academia. They have the set contest to compete at at the end and the winner is who does it better.
