@mangeurdenuage @azurolu @fl0wn Wow, some of these people are just... dicks.
#ITM everybody! https://noagendasocial.com/media/xExEoTKbGF3e1PrfG6c
@johnww2 I've been reading articles from the Tips/Advice section of this site all morning. Wealth of information, thanks for sharing.
@YoVinnie Yep. Most likely a Subaru Outback. My wife was in charge of picking the make and model, and I'm not surprised to hear confirmation that she made a good pick.
@JonOfJupiter These are great tips, thanks. Just to make sure I'm following: since every vehicle had mandatory emission testing, that field being empty would be a tell-tale sign the vehicle info has been tampered with, right?
@YoVinnie Never owned a motor-vehicle before, so I've never had a mechanic. Though, I do work with a bunch of tinkerers.
@Iamthebammbamm @JonOfJupiter What sorts of things do you mean by light hacking?
@PapaVanTwee Great stuff, I am bookmarking that dongle you linked to.
@PapaVanTwee I'm thinking either a station wagon or small SUV.
@Iamthebammbamm @black6 I'm probably going to stay away from European cars. They might make me unpopular here in the Detroit-Metro area.
@black6 Light use, more city driving than highway driving.
My parents also swear by Nipponese cars. I'm leaning towards some kind of Subaru, since they are super common out here.
I have a youngster, so it needs a backseat. I would also like to do Home Depot-IKEA-recycling center trips with it, so I'm thinking some kind of station-wagon or smaller SUV. Four-wheel drive is also desired for the winter weather.
@hippieNdisguise Thanks! Good tip with checking under the car for leaking, just the sort of thing I was looking for!
@yukiame Is that Micro Machines or Hot Wheels?
I'm going to be purchasing my first vehicle in the next few months. I'm looking at used cars, and am willing to spend a little extra to get something that isn't a hunk of junk.
Anybody have some pointers for somebody who knows very little about cars?
@isaac "Even sooner" because the Good Guys at the FBI are going to blow the lid on the RUSSIA COLLUSION. At least, according to the Dimension-B narrative.
@aighead @muti277 This seems true to me as well, based on my anecdotal evidence. I guess it teaches you work ethic and/or the "Fear of God". People with professional kitchen experience also seem to be pretty good.
@muti277 @aighead It's frustrating. Luckily, I don't have to manage these kids, they just get sent to me for training and on-boarding. I learned through my colleague that one of the people I trained last week didn't even make it to Friday. Quitting because it was "too much work". Way to waste everybody's time, look like a jackass, and lose the respect of the guy who referred you to us.
@yukiame We talked about them before, I know their music but not them. I do work right down the street from the Blind Pig, though.
