@thatbrickster private property destroys the free market, unless by free market you mean monopoly and corporate trust controlled service economy
Then again you believe in voting with your wallet so you must be 100% blind to the workings of the current US economy, or maybe you are ignoring hte pullman era of US history, which fully destroyed the idea of private property as compatible with free exchange.
since you couldnt answer any of my earlier questions ill leave it at that.

@thatbrickster the soviet union failed because bolsheviks held a wartime grip on hte economy too long, andintentionally destroyed the only people that couldve reversed the tide of stalinism

@thatbrickster heck if I know, the soviet union isnt mine to defend.
How does anarcho capitalism deal with market consolidation, monopoly, and scarcity of land.
"Anarcho" Capitalism would just destroy the environment and murder poor people...

@Elizafox Im with you here, I long for the day where land is occupied based on need and anyone can produce what they want
Part of wt I think will motivate people to restore classic machines and manually work trades as art is ironically that they wont need to. No one wants to take apart and rebuild a 1976 ford f250 highboy when they need something reliable to drive to work.
The individualisation that individualists seek comes from abundance of opportunity and the mitigation of opportunity cost

@Elizafox Every single willing worker owning their own means of production is the automation of mutualism and something like my ideological wet dream.

@Elizafox ive always liked proudhon more then marx, I find his ideas of occupation more humane and natural then this whole seizing the means of production mess. the idea that unowned land/resources is open for those who dont have enough themselves is really important to me at least.
Maybe something about being too poor to afford his own books gave him some perspective. (Not that Marx didnt struggle with the capitalist market economy)

@oxenfree @Elizafox
best case scenario both platforms switch to activitypub around the same time and in the process reintegrate into a single strong federation of social services.Worst case scenario mastodon switches to activity pub leaving gnusocial behind and putting a wall between two groups with cool ass content.

@oxenfree many people on gnusocial are angry at mastodon for breaking standards, not having regard for how their system federates with others, blocking instances over criticism, and for some the cardinal offense lies within generally being more to the left then gnusocial.
As it is contained to gnusocial its really easy to ignore, however bein ghtat YOU are on gnusocial you may be concerned about mastodon disapearing from the federation as they switch protocols.
