It's not like I can really judge, I don't like Burgers so I don't go there. But simply from what you've described they...certainly fucked that up.

Mhm, I get that.
There's something nice and homely about something that stays the same or very similar, you'll 'always' be able to enjoy it, but it'll get dull after a time and you might want a break.
On the other hand, those who mix things up are always fresh and thus exciting, but then there's always the risk they take a step into something you dislike, and then you'll never really enjoy that section of content.

Yeah, think that hits the nail on the head so to speak.
I'll watch him and the NLSS casually in the background, thereby watching lots just cos it's on. Then I'll try and 'properly' watch it, and get bored.
Then a while later I'll think "hey I could put something on in the background" and start again.

I go between every few months, of finding nearly all of it very repetitive and boring to me, to finding it pretty chill to watch and thus watching a shit-ton of it.
I honestly don't know what triggers this switch.

I feel like some of these people are hoping that if they curse themselves, and all other white people. That a diverse bridage of anyone of another skin colour will come and lift them up.

I guess? I just...I dunno, 'turn your brain off' stuff, tends to still have a good component. With action CGI films that you turn your brain off cos it's awful plot, the CGI is still well produced, you're just filtering out the crappy bits. Whereas with those sorts of shows...I can't tell what's meant to be the good bit.

Then again even tho I ask that, I wonder if I'd ever really understand the answer. Since the idea of liking them is so utterly foreign to me...but...clearly tons of people do.
