@Alexis I have a big commemorative folio of Barks’ Uncle Scrooge Adventures which I heaps recommend more than Donald Duck. Don’t have it with me right now, but I don’t recall any stories that icky.

@Alexis You are quite right of course... I just feel sad to speak majority languages in places with a minority language too much. I try to support the local language a bit especially if it is threatened or endangered. And my poor little brain has a lot of language marbles rolling around in it. Next time in EU I do hope can camp a bit in Fryslan to see the tulips and then will try to learn.

@Alexis I do hope so, that the country is well protected for a while. But if the west Antarctic ice sheet goes fast, as looks more likely, you’ll have some trouble quickly. But no doubt you are better off than say, Louisiana or Bangladesh thanks to genius NL engineering.

Thank you for being patient with my Frisian fangirl fascination. What should people abroad know about Fryslân? Do you often discuss Frisian issues as a minority nationality in NL and EU?

I’m listening to a cute Frysk/English bilingual song on Frysk Top 100 called Friesland I’m Coming Home. It is very heartfelt and nice they made it bilingual.

@Alexis Aww, there ought to be a way to learn Frysk from English... There must be others abroad who want to learn Fries. Frisians can be proud of your ancient culture and ability to persevere through the ages. And with the cutest lil heart shape lilypad flag ever made, you have great “branding.” 💕 What do you think of the state of Fryslân in our era? Are you quite afraid of sea level rise?
