@Gargron @ConnyDuck I like how he calls ordinary users "non-wizard users" 🧙♂️

Mr. Matt :debian: :linux: (matt@linuxrocks.online)'s status on Wednesday, 10-Jul-2019 00:28:31 EDT Mr. Matt :debian: :linux: I bought this beautiful leather journal a few weeks ago. I had a couple ideas on what to do with it, but I settled on this idea.
I'm going to write weekly letters to my son, starting today until he turns 18, and hand him a stack of these journals with these letters. I will do the same for my daughter.
I don't know if they will read them, but I hope they do. I will find out in about 20 years.

Just comes with the territory

Historically #Debian moves to the newest ESR version, even on Stable, once the old ESR is end-of-lifed. This was the case for Stretch, anyway.
Will be interesting to see if this holds true for Buster as well.

Michael Brazda (omnipotens@linuxrocks.online)'s status on Tuesday, 09-Jul-2019 18:11:36 EDT Michael Brazda I want to thank people here on LR instance.
Earlier today I was a bit frustrated on the amount of complaints we get from other instances because we refuse to take a political stands and refuse to ban users who may post or reply with a political comment that is different from their views.
We have never censored anyone from their political view. We are a linux instance and value open and free and value differences.
Your responses have shown me we are doing things right.LR Users are awesome

Mr. Matt :debian: :linux: (matt@linuxrocks.online)'s status on Tuesday, 09-Jul-2019 18:04:02 EDT Mr. Matt :debian: :linux: @omnipotens generally I'm ok with off-topic discussions. I'd like many of them (especially inflammatory topics like uspol) to be in CWs, but even I am guilty of not doing that on occasion.
Overall though my local timeline is fine as is, IMO.
