    In #NZ it's not unheard of for people to drive around in cars with a gas tank in the back, allowing the car to be a hybrid, running on #LPG or #CNG. Once you've got the hydrogen pressurized, I don't see why it's any more difficult to do the same thing.

    Which brings me to the answer to your original question @ajroach42 , hyrogen, like most technologies that offer replacements for #FossilFuels, have been suffered from lack of development funding since the 1980s. I've heard that under Prez Carter, there were #SolarPanels on the White House roof and Reagan pulled them down.

    @ajroach42
    if you use intermittent #RenewableEnergy sources both to make the hydrogen (by electrolyzing water) and to run the pumps the pressurize it, you could make use of energy that's plentiful when demand is low. It could potentially make new kinds of rewewablesmore viable.

      from RNZ
      Scientists around the world have been racing to develop treatments, cures and a vaccine for Covid-19, and are getting closer by the day. Jacob Glanville, who's one of the stars of Netflix documentary Pandemic, runs Distributed Bio, which has been working to find an antibody therapy. Yesterday he tweeted we should get ready for a positive announcement this week - and he joins Lisa Owen via Skype from San Francisco.

Weโ€™ve explained how the EARN IT Act could be used to drastically undermine encryption. Although the bill...

    "Ships without sailors could keep humans out of harmโ€™s way, and that possibility is not their only potential benefit. Without crews, shippers could save money normally spent on salaries, keep boats away from shore for longer and, without wasting room on accommodations, try more efficient designs that would emit less pollution."

    How about redeploying all the salary spending to new, on-shore activities, instead of firing people because you can?
