I, for one, appreciate very muuch you contributions to Guix and I'd love you to improve the environment implementation

on the base of what I'm reading on Mastodon these days, in order to have a mobile platform that runs #freesoftware, we need a huge amount of money to suppot the development of our free software based infrastructure.

among other things, it's difficult (next to impossible) to package nodejs software in a way that is conformant to the the Free Software Distribution Guidelines ( https://www.gnu.org/distros/free-system-distribution-guidelines.html ) because it's full of circular dependencies, unbuildable packages and so on (you can see here https://dustycloud.org/blog/javascript-packaging-dystopia/ )
