No White House likes tough questions. Plenty of examples from previous admins. But there is nothing resembling tough questions coming from Acosta. He just wants to argue and grandstand. This has a knock-on effect on the rest of the press.

Either way I'm sure it's minuscule compared to the biases toward the folks involved. If you hate Trump, Acosta did nothing wrong. If you hate Acosta, he deserves the boot.

@Ricardus OK maybe struggle is the wrong word? What is the right word? He did not want to give up the microphone and resisted when she tried to take it from him, or do you dispute that? Because it is pretty clear from the original CSPAN video.

@Ricardus @monerica Again, is there a material difference in what a reasonable person perceives in behavior between the video in question and the original CSPAN feed? What is it these added/dropped frames depict? The severity of the struggle for the mic? The fact that they struggled over the mic is not in dispute. This is just ant fucking.

@monerica eh, here's the issue with that discussion, IMO:

1) A question of fact, is the video doctored?

2) If the video was doctored, how do we know that the intent was to smear Acosta?

Number 2 is pretty speculative. The irony of CNN bitching about editing is just raw.

Number 1 is a legitimate question, but is the video the WH released that materially different from what was shown on the live feed during the presser?
