@Premitive1 Most non-voters are simply apathetic. No one is able to discern any particular non-voter from explicit disapproval. Political systems larger than Dunbar's number will never require consent. It's going to happen either way.

@chris yea and it is fucking garbage. The way they snuck the minimum wage vote in was a real punk ass move. Because lo and behold it was a union job that fucks tipped workers and every working man/woman bartender I knew hated it.

I only now realize what an absolute shit show local politics is in DC after being a boiled frog. When you take away party affiliation and the issues are all local everyone seems WAY more sane.
