@antimega I think it'd probably be best done using a game engine type thing to do real-time 2D/3D compositing. Likely candidates would seem: Unity or Blender.

I had zero desire to visit either Uganda, Pakistan or India and reading books about/from those countries changed that.

Still unlikely that I'll visit any anytime soon, but the de-exoticization is probably a good thing.

I've seen people present over the years using some Max/Flash kit or sometimes abusing VJ tools for it but really only very rarely.
