It's been a long time since a deck of cards was a buck @YoVinnie but it's still cheaper than a movie ticket by a long shot.
And you are correct: the only winning move is to not to watch. I rarely give any of my gold pressed latinum to the entertainment industrial complex. If there were some actual competition for Comcast, I'd tell them to fuck themselves gently with a chainsaw.

@temporaryDouchebag that snippet of speech briefly showed an NBC logo and played the classic NBC chime.
Itβs definitely a big fuck you to anyone woke enough to notice. They might as well have said: βShut up slave. What the fuck are YOU gonna do about it?β

@temporaryDouchebag this is one of the few shows I watch. The main reason is because it is one of the few shows that accurately portrays the industry Iβm in (information security).

@temporaryDouchebag The visuals that went with that speech, which was a bit longer than what I quoted, was awesome.

Mr Robot is back.
βThey packaged our fight into product. They turned our dissent to intellectual property televising our revolution with commercial breaks. They backdoored into our minds and robbed our truth, refurbished the facts then marked up the price. This is what they do. This is what theyβre good at. This is their greatest trick.β

Of course the worse part of all this: these cable operators are also our ISPs and they are a monopoly. As their TV revenue dwindles, theyβre just gonna raise our rent on the pipes.
Maybe by then the mobile providers will be a viable alternative for home Internet.

@stsmith It depends on how insulin resistant you already are. If you are like I am, then it certainly doesn't help, if what this says is right.
Then again, I'm not sure my own experience lines up with this. Still, something to potentially add to the toolbag if my progress stalls.

As for the weight loss @YoVinnie some people seem to do better with it than others. Then again, some people are more strict with the whole fasting thing, incorporating a fully ketogenic diet, or something else.
I think even once a day, I notice that I still have an issue eating a little beyond when I should stop. While I have better control in general, it still feels like there's something psychological there I need to kick.

Well @YoVinnie, I'm glad you figured out the tobacco monster before it ate you.
I remember taking a drag off a cigarette once while I was holding for my granny, who was confined to a wheelchair and was going to the bathroom. She told if she ever caught me smoking one, she'd make smoke a whole one!
I thought it was disgusting as a kid, but I have smoked single cigarettes from time to time long after I became an adult. The odd one won't kill you, but a pack or two a day, yeah no.

Hey @YoVinnie the guy in that ad looks vaguely like me.
Meanwhile, my dad smoked 2 packs a day of Camels for 44 years. It wasn't even the lung cancer that killed him, it was the brain cancer.
We all die at some point, of course, but I hope to do a little better than my dad, who barely made it to 59.
