@wjmaggos In the past, that "property" has always been defined geographically, because that is how people have always interacted and formed social groups. But in the Internet age, we now form social groups without regard to geography. It is anachronistic to assume that governing bodies must necessarily follow geographic lines, rather than those outlined by naturally formed social groups. Indeed, we already form rudimentary governments online - BBS sysops, forum admins, subreddit moderators.

Using the term "dog whistle" is hypocritical. Calling something out as a dog whistle is not only an accusation, but also a signal to people on your side that you are "woke" to the use of such speech.

The phrase "dog whistle" is, in fact, a dog whistle.
