Social animals, yes, but it also teaches them how to behave in social settings. I want to be going out for dinner once they can stay awake past 8pm - but that means teaching them what's acceptable now.

@DistroJunkie as a tourist, yes, it's good a few times. Sadly, I was not there as a tourist - and the people I went to see are on the opposite side, so also have to deal with central London. Ah well, needs must :)

@opal @kev just a small local unthemed instance. It had a period of instability and downtime, and by then I had more idea of how the Fediverse worked, so I moved to Fosstodon.

@opal @kev likewise, I had a Masto account on another instance, and decided to migrate.

@kensanata my father once described "social media" as "personal broadcasting", and there's definitely people that use it that way. Such a waste.
