@sonny If you click the "in reply to" link you will open the "parent" post. If I replied to the wrong post and caused confusion I apologise, but you could double-check my posts to see I've only discussed stuff regarding OpenID in this conversation .]
-
@sonny No, nothing to do with a theme at all .)
-
@sonny "Vanilla" is often used to describe something which has not been modified (think flavours in icecream). So a vanilla installation of !GNUsocial is just the code downloaded from the repository without any modifications. OpenID should be enabled by default.
-
@sonny I don't really understand the question. Are you asking how OpenID works? Or what it's used for?
-
@askan Ja, supersöta! Synd att jag inte fick med dess arg-ljud dock. Den var inte riktigt lika söt då, när den öppnade sin mun, visade tänderna och ba BRRBTRTTTRTRTRTTT

@morph I learned afterwards that the nature care agency (Naturvårdsverket) in Sweden says that you should lift (at least baby) bats pretty high up because they can have issues lifting. It didn't seem to be the case with this one though, fortunately.
The reason I wanted it to get out of the way was because otherwise I'd have to step _over_ it (and considering how well it blended in with the ground I'm sure I'd accidentally step on it).
-
@cwebber Then again, the "expected usecase scenario" with !XMPP is like with e-mail. There's no UI (or expectation of any UI) that has a button which says "share this with the world instantly and publicly". Or any kind of accidental tagging-someone-into-a-conversation-and-thus-maybe-letting-them-get-some-conversation-history issues.
I'm not talking technical and crypto privacy, I'm talking about how ordinary people are expected to use the communication methods. Which is an issue if 90% of the UI is designed for non-private data.
I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself, I just want to be as accurate and explicit as possible in my commentary.
-
@abbenm Though I happen to use #Twidere for !GNUsocial .)
-
@algot Because I can! Also because I want to debug.
-
@hannes @askan För egen del är det bara det bakom pannbenet som liknar sopor.
-
Btw, angry bats sound like "RTTTRRTRRRRTTRRRRRTRTRTRRTRTR"
-
Found this bat underneith my house. I was first afraid I'd hurt it, but it was just afraid. Hopefully it'll find its way back and make use of the soon to be dedicated bat cave underneith my house. https://social.umeahackerspace.se/attachment/209991
-
@askan även pannan från !dumpsterdiving?
-
I'm going to start posting with geotagging.
-
Wow, I really like #Twidere (now that #Mustard dropped out of #F-droid due to legacy signature algorithm).
-
@cwebber Unless it was a feature with this certain host. Email is however considered like delivering via envelopes while social web platforms are like bulletin boards or at least relatively large group meetings.
-
@cwebber @nightpool web-likeness = public space. Web-unlikeness = privacy capable .]
