@jackyan I used Zoho for a long time. They're great, but I kept having ActiveSync issues with my contacts. At times, there were up to 5 duplicates of contacts.left them eventually.

@joseph when I migrate mail, I tend to setup the new as imap, and the old as pop (keeping mail on svr) and literally drag and drop within the mail app. It's slow and annoying, but all headers etc remain, and you know you have everything.

@joseph surely it's best to change your MX first, so new mail is delivered to the new mailbox?

@resonant @joseph my hosting is using Plesk, not sure if that changes things, but it's good to hear that straight from the horses mouth. Maybe I need to rethink a my email hosting.

@joseph we host with https://masto.host. @hugo, the owner, is incredibly good.

We're currently on one of the shared hosting packages, which costs $10/month. I'm hoping that will increase as the instance grows though!

@joseph I've never been concerned with that. At some point, there has to be trust. I don't know if they would be able to access my account and mailboxes without resetting passwords. Ultimately, you never know, but I'm not gonna concern myself with "what if". I knew Google was mining my mailbox for data to use against me, or to "improve the service". I know my current host isn't doing that. That suits me for now.
