@dcgirl His parents were so matter of fact on the interview I saw that I thought they knew he was a CIA operative and him dying (assuming he did and he wasn’t just extricated) was part of the job.

@SierraKiloBravo i, personally, don't know any people in the military oor veterans that are angry. it is a lot of people being angry on behalf of the military.

@HiroProtagonist Coroner's report said no sign of torture. it included a CT scan. Said he died of lack of O2 to the brain.

@SierraKiloBravo there is also an equivalency (not defending it) between standing for the flag / national anthem and being in support of the US Military. sidebar: my husband is a marine and defended our right to, among other things, burn the flag if you want to.
