@cwebber @lnxw48a1 I'm not too thirsty, mostly I scream because it's fun. I've only been posting sporadically recently, so I think people may have thought I was a bit more peeved than I am. Thanks for the apology. Now I'm forced to put the brakes on and be real. We do need a federation history, the problem is the work that's involved getting it from people. It's just as fractured as the federation in general. Every person I interviewed had a different point of view of how it started, where it went, where it is now. No one has been actively trying to collect them. I'm not a developer, I get things wrong. @moonman @maiyannah @lain @clacke have to correct me all the time and I'm open to it. I'm a marketer with a journalism hobby. I love the fediverse and am open to revisions any time. I was actively working on building a history that everyone could contribute to until I burned out from negativity.
Just to shed some light on things. I don't think you should remove the call for history, I just thought both of our awkward social ineptitudes was funny and inadvertently offensive.

Parts of it are wrong or missing. A majority of it is outdated. When I wrote it, ActivityPub wasn't even a conversation that was coming up outside of hypotheticals. The reason I did the interviews was to write a deeper history piece and put together a verbal history. This at least has motivated me to finish that piece of it.
A majority is outdated - you can write a living history, but that was what was available at the time.
None of this really matters though, this is an obscure little corner of the internet that only nerds and jerks use.

@lnxw48a1 https://shitposter.club/attachment/1495504 I literally have 6 hours of recorded conversations with Matt Lee, MMN, and Gargron - spent a week researching and interviewing users. literally the only federation history available written by a 'people'. making it really easy to discount him for the very reasons i'm frustrated in that article. because instead of having a conversation, we're just jumping to conclusions and other stupid shit. but go ahead and write the real version please. the right version. can't give rw any sort of pass because he's problematic.

@hakui Boy, I sure got myself in trouble today. And it all started when I fooled around with something I didn't really understand. When you're growing up it's natural to be curious, but when you fool around with things you don't understand it's downright dangerous! Things like electricity, pills or berries in the forest. Play around with them and you're playing with trouble. Handle only the things you know are safe, and you'll be taking a big step towards avoiding accidents. You LITERALLY can't fucking cash out. Seriously, try it. You wasted all your money on internet bucks. There is no way to convert it back to fiat. All those "exchanges" that claim to deposit your money into your bank? Those are scams, the deposit never goes through. All those people saying it isn't a scam? They're shills for the scam "exchanges."
Anyone who tries to refute this post is a scammer shilling for scammy exchanges.
