i was debating with a family member the other week about the possibility of standardized architectural aesthetics for an area... sort of a "here's the rules for how it should look if you use these materials, if you're good at what you can do bend them as needed." just to keep an area's aesthetic so it doesn't get cluttered with crappy architecture...

also, any kind of non-american bread seems to just sit better... must be the poisoned food supply.

@xahlee @jeremiah yup. my area has a lot of mcmansions out in the rural areas... old farms sold to "rich" (read: poor) washington D.C. dwellers who moved out. they are truly of poor quality in aesthetics and construction.

@PhoneBoy interesting. my intestines have always been in great pain if i avoided carbohydrates for too long. potatoes and certain kinds of pasta seem to make them quite at home.

@jeremiah @xahlee i reckon that they don't really boil water all that well, either. leaves it with more than enough energy to boil but it doesn't ease into the phase change so it'll suddenly boil on you if you overheat it...

but yeah, warming water it's effective.
