@chadmccullough I don't know if it's a trend thing right now or what, but my company has been talking about revoking work from home from us. That would be a big problem for me considering my child care is currently configured to work with my work from home schedule. If I wasn't able to do that anymore, then I would need to spend a lot more on after school care. I wonder if companies are just not thinking this stuff through.
Hopefully today is going better for you at least.
@Indie So how is Vivaldi treating you? Still test driving or moved on to other things?
@chadmccullough Sorry to hear things didn't go well. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
I'm unsubscribing from all my YouTube channels. I'd like to say that this is because of some sort of moral objection to Google's data mining all the things, but it's really because my children have taken over my YouTube, and I'm more likely to get a recommendation from Google for some weird kids game than I am for something I'm actually interested in. Thankfully, YouTube videos still support RSS, so I'll just put the channels I'm interested in into my RSS reader and forget about subscribing.
Today is one of those days when everybody seems to be emailing. I've gotten 148 emails today (after filters). Not sure when I'm supposed to be doing anything other than answering emails.
@ripplestream I'm sorry to hear that you're not having a good experience here on Fosstodon, but we have a Code of Conduct for a reason. Fortunately, since your experience here has left you wanting something different, there are a myriad of other instances in the Fediverse that may better suit your needs, or you can even start your own instance if you so choose. I'd suggest these links:

Good luck in the future.

Hund has a pretty cool WeeChat script to convert emojies from graphical IRC clients into plain text!

@ripplestream Nope! We don't censor content here unless they violate our CoC. If that happens for some reason, someone will contact you via DM to let you know why.
@AndrzejL Oh I so wish that worked.
Added myself to Keybase.io if anyone wants to connect on there.. https://keybase.io/timapple
@unicornfarts Not really. On Mint 19 I just used the drivers control panel. Picked the newest version.
Daily driver.
One of the most frequent questions we get is: Why doesn't Tusky support push notifications?
Because pushing to devices would require us to use proprietary Google libraries and to run a relay server. But we want Tusky to be pure FOSS (free and open-source software) and don't want to send any data to Google so we decided not to implement push notifications at this time. We are researching other possibilities to make notifications faster though.

@unicornfarts That's weird. I've run a couple things with Proton, and my NVideo X Server Settings say my current driver version is 390.48.
@dpreacher No Net Neutrality here, but in cases where I'm given the option to represent the Linux using demographic, I like to make sure these companies know we're here. The also asked how many computers we have in the house, and they asked me about others as well. My wife's work computer is a Mac, and her personal computer is Windows 10. I don't know how they would classify our home if it was for Net Neutrality issues.
@wdavery I'm using Feedly right now. I've been meaning to move to a more FOSS client, but I just haven't gotten around to it.
@kev There's got to be a story there. I'd never be heard from again if I did that.
@kungtotte The joys of Beta right? Hopefully they can get this stuff worked out here soon.
