Latest news from the fairytale kingdom of #Norway:
The girlfriend of the minister of justice has been indicted for attacking their own home (spray painting very poorly written accusations of being racist) and setting fire to their own trash can and car(!).
This is the fifth minister of justice from the populist right wing Progress party in almost as many years. The rest where also outed by scandals, in case that wasn't obvious.
"she determined that there is no such thing as a trademark in an artistic style, and that DSE does not have an enforceable trademark in the typeface used for the title, so the use of a Seussian typeface for Oh, the Places You’ll Boldly Go! is not trademark infringement."
THIS is the rallying cry I needed on a Monday morning…
“But if we are going to talk about smashing patriarchy and dismantling systems of oppression (as we should!), we need to understand the role of surveillance and data exploitation in perpetuating and enhancing those systems”
It is a artist magazine focusing on community, events, interviews and learning. It's a very good project and the magazines are made free to be downloaded again. To keep this is the magazine needs much more support and attention.
@AMDmi3 Singling out all the women to attack them personally is great because it's an attempt at keeping out people who want everyone to be included? Really? I want FOSS to enjoy the benefits of as many developers as possible, and the viewpoints of as many possible user groups as possible, so noone gets a worse experience because the devs didn't think of them. You'd rather get worse products to keep women and/or minorities away? Really?
@luka@mareklach Sure, I get that. But that huge differences is still very strange to me. I can't remember ever seeing this with audio, where some oggs might be smaller than the mp3s and some times it's the other way around. But I guess the sizes there are small enough to not notice the difference as much anyway, and I've probably not seen it listed up like that anyway.
How can the file sizes of pdfs vs cbzs vs epubs vary so wildly? On the top here the cbz is 1.2 GB while the epub is only 139.5 MB and the pdf 388.1 MB. At the bottom it's not exactly the other way around, but the pdf is way smaller than the cbz.
Why isn't one filetype always larger and another always smaller, and how can the differences be so huge? Tank Girl pdf >3x as large as cbz while Inuyashiki cbz is ~3x as large as pdf!? wtf!?
