#Medium now fully completed their paywalling efforts. The public page's now completely inaccessible without logging in.

Unsuspecting visitors to Medium's #articles now can't #read them unless they lock themselves into the platform.

The ability to search for new #content written by independent creators? Gone! The goal's to usurp content created by others free of charge to make you pay the centralized platform to access it.

#Plume exists to combat this, using the power of the #fediverse.

Finally this happened!

#Friendica 2019.01 release now officially supports #activitypub out of the gate.

The #federated #blogging engine, #Plume, has got a fresh new website: https://joinplu.me.

It is one of the most complete #activitypub projects still in alpha stage, and looking very neat too.

Things to do to help the project:

- contribute financially
- make a translation
- launch an instance

There are already some stable and updated Plume #instances running right now: Fediverse.blog, or plume.mastodon.host, or https://plume.hostux.coffee, as well as https://plume.oa-dev.com, more soon.

@h @Gargron @mairin @paulfree14 @loke @clacke Ah, interesting tactic. Still, they treat state propaganda as gospel and the US as an exceptionally superior nation. I believe that radical centrism is just moderate conservatism. Because ironically as they claim to be for free speech and democracy, they declare whole nations hostile because they are against some US policies. Often rightly so.
