Dear FOSS maintainers who have experienced issues with sustainability for your projects: What would help you more when it comes to successfully executing your projects?
Private Internet Access is now on the #gab "affiliate partners" page. I'm a customer, so I've opened a ticket asking them to disassociate and #isolategab
Can anybody here recommend another VPN provider with straight openvpn support and some way of handling inbound connection attempts?
Anyone know whether my depiction of the squatter symbol is mucking up some of the #symbology?
All I know is that it depicts the flow of "You enter, you have ups and downs, and at some point you're evicted" and I'm not exactly finding a good explanation of the semantics behind this symbol. :P
Thanks, in terms of authorization I'm hoping the ongoing work on OCAPs will soon be ready to implement.
I was more looking to agree on conventions for things that aren't in the standard and that implementations aren't doing yet. For example, we want group membership/roles/permissions to federate rather than is restricted to one server. So that I could for example be a 'moderator' of a group on another instance...
@how Who else is implementing Group Actors and where/how can we make sure we are interoperable? (incl. managing membership in groups, roles/permissions, moderation...)
Oh hey, btw, if you live in America and work in the service industry or at a non-profit, consider reaching out to RWDSU (Retail, Wholesale, and Department Store Union). They're good people. I can also help you with organising resources if you want.
So we're clear, I am not involved in any of those project, nor am I lobbying for them. I do think they've got some points though, and I'm kinda surprised at how strongly you are reacting against them. For one, I haven't seen any of them trying to hijack FOSS (do you have links?)
I need to finish some work, but will come back to the thread when I can...
