"Partners in Kryme" are rapping "Turtle Power!" in the end credits, proving that you don't have to be white to deliver the whitest rap ever. It is impossible to explain how this made #1 in the UK.

They have released three songs ever. This and another one that year, and turtle-themed "Rock the Halfshell" 25 years later, which was a cover of "Rock the Kasbah" and also sucked.

We watched "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" and it ROCKED. Highly recommended.

I was watching it for the cool art style, but seriously, apart from being one of the coolest animations ever, this is also a movie with great story, world-building, emotional atmosphere, character development, directing, all the things.

A great movie among movies in general. Definitely the best ninja turtle movie.

1: Drake said only people with two-syllable names are successful, but his own name is just one syllable!
2: No it isn't, it's two syllables.
1: Seriously, it's one syllable.
2: It's two! You don't know syllables? Seriously, this is primary school stuff. It would have been different if his name was actually one syllable, like Aaron.
1: Are you kidding me right now?? Aaron is three syllables.

Note: Apparently in Hebrew Aaron is actually three syllables! Not in English though. Unless you're Keegan.

TIL "tortoises are not turtles" is actually according to British English, whereas in US English, tortoises are a type of turtle and sea-turtles have to be called sea-turtles if you don't want to include tortoises and terrapins.

Also Australia has land-turtles (British), so I guess those are land-sea-turtles?

I enjoyed this song since 1986 because it's funny in multiple ways. Only last year did I learn that the whole song is one big pun on its own melody. 😊

I almost asked a person to let me look at their T-Shirt.

It was a long text, something like if you want to fulfill the instructions you need a physical body to execute them with, but it was six lines and it had illustrations of DNA spirals.

How could I not know the term "Truck Driver's Gear Change"? In Swedish it's called a "schlagerhöjning", a Schlager rise, as every single Eurovision song in the 80s and 90s would go up two semitones before their final refrain.

How does Eurovision make it a "Schlager rise"? The Eurovision Song Contest is called "Schlagerfestivalen" in Swedish, the Schlager festival.

What's a "Schlager"? "Schlager" is German for hit song, actually the German term predates the English one and has been around since the late 1800s. It is literally a hitter, "Schläger", without the umlaut.

In Swedish, and perhaps in contemporary German too, a Schlager is specifically the kind of whimsical glam pop song that would be expected to do well in Eurovision. At this point the terminology is a bit circular.

@ocdtrekkie Yeah Mount was the one that was most obviously without prior training, but they wrote the pieces really well for him and his power part in the finale was great.

Really all the pieces were written to their specific actor's skill and range, letting them all shine. Fantastic job.
