@hcs@HerraBRE Just assume that I explained to you that you have misunderstood and that I have explained exactly (and incorrectly) why that was the case.
@MutoShack Titanium is both stronger and lighter than steel. A titanium frame can be made about the same weight as aluminium since it's so much stronger.
The ride is amazing. It's much more comfortable since the material can deform more without losing shape, which means that it can be less rigid, which in turn means that it's a smoother ride, especially important for a hardtail (i.e. a mountain bike with only front suspension).
@dirb@xj9@p@kaniini@kitty There is also performance since there is code sharing between processes. This saves memory, and probably helps with the cache.
Just ordered a new custom titanium mountain bike frame. I've been riding one for a few years now, but the geometry of this one comes out of a proper bike fit.
@martin Java 11 is a bit of a mess. Up until 8 they preserved Java backwards compatibility so that (almost) all code would run unchanged. Now, it's a different story, and a lot of complex software can't run anymore.
In particular, ABCL can't run on anything newer than 8, and probably will never be able to.
@yatil Sounds good. Except that they explicitly say that the human reviewers are based in the US. Does that mean we'll get just the US based version of things?
@thegibson Do you have some examples of the topics that are covered on the executive track? One topic I'm interested in is designing networks to improve security for dealing with internal threats at large organisations.
