Switzerland and privacy: our data protection law is in need of a revision. At a minimum I would like it lifted up to the level of the GDPR – but this Swiss NGO is saying that our “national council” is likely to fail at this as the resolution proposed by the commission falls far short. So now we need to rely on the rest of the councilors to fix it for them. Gaaah. #privacy #switzerland #chpol

@njoseph @skiring as an addendum, you would need to test TLS support for every hop based on email headers I think. An easy option would be https://starttls-everywhere.org/ – these days almost nobody does mail relay so the shop and your mail host might be just one hop apart, making it easy. But still not guaranteed, of course.

Trying to imagine where I could take the face generator next. At the bookshop I had looked at a book mentioning drawing with a fountain pen and then washing it with a water loaded brush. It doesn’t look so bad and might allow me to play with skin color a bit more, as opposed to rely on line art. I still don’t know how to best make it composable, though. Line art is easy in that respect...

Ad Astra (2019) – yay or nay?
For reference: my favorite movie in the science fiction genre these years was Moon (2009). Another one I liked was Cargo (2009). I didn’t like Interstellar (2014). What do you say?

I somehow find the masses of books, beautiful books, wonderful books, the overflowing abundance of books in bookshops quite disheartening. So much to read. So many authors waiting for an audience. And yet – I know I won’t buy a book. I won’t make the time for these books. These are memories of a time I no longer belong to.
