User discovery on Mastodon is still a problem.
It's made worse by the "following" link on user cards, which, when the user is on a different instance, only shows users on your own instance. This may make sense technically, but it is bad for users.
Not only is this not intuitive behaviour (there is no indication the list is not complete), it also makes it harder for Mastodon users to find each other, ultimately hurting teh platform.
Let's figure out how to fix this problem.

@tjk Yeah, sometimes I still hit the palm keys by accident too. But less and less often, and I'm missing them dearly when not on the Model01. Keycaps are indeed fantastic, and not just that, but physical key placement too! This is the first keyboard where I can hit `p` (`l` on Dvorak) with my pinky, comfortably. Feels all around wonderful =)

@Gargron I may be a bad person, but I usually try to waste their time with walls of text that seem like excitement at first, but ends up with pointers to stuff that would have let them not send the message in the first place.
(I have a page I have set up, and point recruiters to at the end, with pretty much all my requirements & preferences. I *feel* this helps.)

Downside of working from home the last couple of days: I'm trying to use my #Keyboardio layout on the #ErgoDox EZ. Keep trying to use my palms, and then wondering why hitting my wrist rest doesn't do anything.

@kev 'tis not just the LogMeIn takeover (there are at least some very good people there), it was a mess before that too, which the LogMeIn audit just highlighted. Sadly the audit results never made it out the LogMeIn door :|

@kev I never used #LastPass, because I was working at LogMeIn at the time they bought it, and talked a lot with one of the guys who audited it. Didn't want to trust my data with it after, so went with #KeePass (#KeePassXC, in particular), and have been using it for the past two years or so, with satisfaction. Only on desktop though, no clue how well it works on mobile.

@cwebber Whenever I feel I would feel guilty after relaxing, I go and relax, and tell future me to just deal with it, and remember the last time I "forgot" to relax and pushed myself further and further. Nothing good came out of it, and I regretted not taking time off. Having a break refreshes the mind, and coming back later one can finish what they started with a lot more enthusiasm. Possibly with new ideas, too.
Go and play a roguelike. They are awesome.

Expanding on this, because I'm looking for suggestions: I'm moving my Chrysalis project (control center application for the #Kaleidoscope keyboard firmware) over to an organization. Looking for a name that fulfills the following:
- Is english.
- Is connected to either butterflies, or kaleidoscopes (or both). Imagination can run wild here, I accept pretty much any reasoning why a connection exists, that is a bit more complex than "it starts with b".
- The name is free on GitHub.

@cwebber @bremner Nope, Hy debuggability hasn't improved much, unfortunately. :(
I adore the language, and even though *I* put it into production at two companies by now, that is not a practice I would recommend to anyone else. It's great for one-offs, as a tool to build a small DSL when you are already embedding python (as an option, along with python), but anything bigger... it's too much of a moving target still.
