@juliank Apart from files moving between cur/, tmp/, and new/, and having their filenames changed (,S appended, iirc), there should be no other changes. Not sure if syncthing can delete moved files, but if it can't, or won't, you'll end up with duplicates fairly soon. An auto-synced git repo is probably a better option in this case.
Oh, also, if you use maildir folders, then files can move between them. Not an issue with notmuch, but with traditional maildir, that's another thing that changes.

- Breaking apps downstream and sending issues upstream to fix our downstream quirks is a no go. Sending our users to complain upstream is even worse.
Also: please don't call some of the finest developers and designers I know "webshit design nerds". If you don't understand an issue, STFU, lurk moar, and don't insult persons who actually studied an issue and try to fix a broken status quo.

@ndegruchy @mooshoe I don't know. If have to agree with them on this. It would be really annoying to maintain a GNOME app and have Ubuntu theming make it look weird by default. Not only does it make you look bad, but you also get probably get tons of bug reports for various themes because something doesn't work right. Then you end up focusing on making sure your app works with the theme of major distros.
They aren't calling out people for theming. They are calling out distros for theming.

We see more and more project and organisations working on privacy focused apps, services, β¦ great!
But sadly this is more and more just marketing. The most famous line "We value your privacy" is telling almost the exact opposite these days.
So let's do a first step: Everyone who really values privacy, get rid of trackers from your websites. All of them. GA as well as Matomo.
If you want to know how to optimize your websites, analyse your logs or do surveys.

So the post office delivered a package to me two weeks ago. Today I got a notification from AliExpress that the same package arrived to the local post office.
This was a bit of a WTF, so I did a bit of research and it turns out that the local post never did the paperwork, so AliExpress got the tracking update only now.

On another note, I need to set up some CI stuff so my hardware libraries and bundles maintained separately from #Kaleidoscope proper are tested with new Kaleidoscope pushes. Otherwise I'll end up using things that were removed half a year ago.
Which reminds me, we need a better story for external hardware libs, really.

@pamela If it is GPLv2, and not AGPL, then yeah, you do not need to open source the flan images. That is, as long as you do not distribute the fork you added them to. As soon as you distribute, you either have to open source the images, or cease distributing.
Running the fork privately, with flan images added, is fine by the GPL (but not by the AGPL, and iirc not by GPLv3 either; but I'm not sure on this last one). No need to host modifications in this case.

That moment when you realize that prod builds of your application are broken due to a transient dependency, and as long as you have a carefully set up `yarn.lock`, things work. But as soon as you try to regenerate it, all hell breaks loose.
I'm not sure I have the spoons for this today, so I'm going to commit the carefully set up `yarn.lock` and worry about the reproducibility sometime later.
The #JavaScript ecosystem is... weird.

@szbalint @natecull Seconded. We had something similar in a WoW guild a good few years ago. It didn't work, was far too easy to manipulate. I don't think it'd be any better on larger scale, if it was so spectacularly bad at a small one.
