McAfee's latest scam is to just take loads of money to promote random cryptocurrency scams, so that's probably as much as he has to actually do with this.

@Gargron This is what gets me about AI fantasies: The idea that our human flaws are somehow entirely unrelated to our human strengths, and the assumption that you could create intelligence that has one but not the other.

@halcy Oh, I may actually know this? Apparently? Lots of Italians emigrated to America from southern Italy? And it kind of happened before Italian unification? So they brought very weird Italian pronunciation with them? And then they were isolated from the rest of Italy so when the language changed there they still stuck with the old pronunciation? And now there are all these really weird Italian-American words that Italians don't understand at all? And I think "baloney" might be one of them?
