@bradfonseca A good excuse for why my profile looks like a desert %).
-
@alcinnz Ah, that's what you were talking about :-D.
-
@maiyannah Maybe you meant a different one…
I thought of "Universe 25".
-
@maiyannah The one that is considered highly unscientific and thus practically a myth?
-
@wolf480pl Well, in English it's more sporadic and irregular.
And in Polish (and Russian) it's just some declension magic %).
When a vowel is supposed to be said (in a written word), it is always pronounced in Russian, but can be turned into a schwa. So it's always there, but not reliably exactly what it is supposed to be.
"Yaponia" (Japan) is rather pronounced like "Yiponia".
-
@clacke That's what happens when one replies to a notice without reading the whole thread :-).
-
@tregeagle It is called an Atom feed, but it's even harder to get people on board than with SSL turning into TLS…
-
@tregeagle A user needs to know about the distinction only when presented with a choice between some RSS and Atom.
-
@cobra2 ChatSecure? That's the only one I know.
-
@alcinnz I honestly don't understand why RSS 1.0/2.0 is still around, I guess people just go with them when they need an "RSS feed".
How to make it clear to everyone that the "RSS feed" is not to be done with RSS 1.0 / RSS 2.0, but with the Atom standard?
-
@schestowitz The article is about censorship being bad, yet it blocks me from accessing it. Neat %).
-
@neno About boycotting what referendum are they talking about?
-
@notclacke And Russian too.
-
@moonman Not an exception.
-
> cool your grandfather was tsar nicholas II
@moonman Considering all of his children were executed along with him, that's quite an achievement %).
-
@adiwan Why? Because of how naïve yet a bit psychopathic he is?
-
@diodelass I'm puzzled by why they're blocking access to the FAQ section as well.
Why can't I at least read their rationale is beyond me.
Also Russian Internet backbones are used in some other countries.
Geoidentification of IPs has always been an approximation, it's never been wise to act upon it beyond something like statistics.
