@tom The chumby represents such a weird time in networked appliances. I would argue that it's in the same class as underpowered netbooks.

@kaniini *shudders*
I'm always surprised and mildly annoyed by the amount of businesses who just use a Wordpress instance for their entire website. For a while, I'd look at a website, then navigate to /wp-login.php just to see if they were running it.
Pro tip: almost every local Midwestern business not located in a major city does this.

@kaniini I used to do everything that way, and thought it was the easiest thing in the world.
Then I learned how to use SSH and git, and I never looked back.

Man, trying to explain how to do something in a framework that you barely use sucks.
Today I:
1. Learned how to use npm / nvm / express to set up an environment.
2. Set up a very basic Node application. (ugh)
3. Stumbled through the NewRelic onboarding process.
4. Integrated it with Sentry and NewRelic
5. Tried to read New Relic Browser documentation and got lost in existential despair.
6. Shared an example with everything minus Step 5, advised customer to talk to New Relic about it.

@lain Yeah, the Baphomet part is kind of odd too, I guess.
Though, as someone that's reading the Satanic Bible currently, I can safely say that the contents of the book actually have a lot of good things to say about self-acceptance, treating yourself right, and accepting differences in other people.
Incidentally, it seems to be a trait of dominant religions to bastardize old gods and turn them into the new religion's demons.

@lain Personally, I'm fine with this.
A drag queen reading to kids about self-acceptance seems like a morally okay thing. Odd? Sure. But the message overall seems wholesome.

Trying to wrap my head around NewRelic's setErrorHandler property.
Somehow the thing most useful to me today has super vague documentation.
All I want to do is use the Browser API, but ignore all frontend errors because those are being loaded into a different tool.

@lain I kind of wanted to do this with a project I was working on, but I've been feeling really lazy/apprehensive about implementing OStatus.
Wanted to use Eugen's Ruby gem for that bit, but it's not super clear how you're supposed to actually integrate it into your own app. So I've been studying the rstatus implementation instead. :P

@gdkar Mostly on Amiga.
What gets me is that Free Software itself doesn't have much of a demo scene. People used to write fancy apps that did nothing other than look cool, and occasionally provide interactivity.

@seanl Sure, but the person you're following is dragging a banner of all their random thoughts behind them. You can practically read it from any distance.
