@mntmn Are you building Reform on your own, or are you building a team?
I've flirted with the idea of bringing a machine of my own "to market" but I'm not sure if it's realistic to do it alone.

Babies, if your client (a company) is in a hurry (because they delayed the project too much) remember to charge them with a higher price. Why?
- The project is going to drain your energy -> remember, they want it for yesterday
- They are irresponsible -> remember they delayed the project too much
- They need you *right now* so they will pay for it.
What if they don't want to accept that price?
That's even better because you'll lose a project which looks like a real problem.
“Methadon” - a masto instance aimed at treating social network addictions.
The Great Depression lives up to its name.
@hhardy01 sort of ironic that an article which contains this:
“Indeed, the scandal could amplify calls to break Facebook up, giving critics a shining example of how the company uses its market dominance to figure out which competitors to copy or crush.”
...is peppered exclusively by Microsoft ads 🤣
When people share links to interesting twitter posts here all I take-away from visiting them is how glad I am that I left Twitter.
I don’t think I’d last 5 minutes there now...
Seems like every time I find a way to frame my job so the work is interesting they come up with new and creative ways to suck all the joy out of it.
I'm reading so much about the concerns over mastodon.social in my timeline, and that many instances are considering blocking it.
THIS IS GREAT.
Not the drama itself, but the fact that the largest instance in the Mastodon network, run by the developer of Mastodon itself, could in fact be blocked and the Fediverse would still function.
No one can control this community, and I'm here for it.
@kelbot I saw it includes an RTC as well...🤔
@kelbot I saw that after I placed my order... have you tried one?
One lazy/clever route might be to implement a #forth that compiles under the #arduino IDE (whatever you call that c-like language it uses).
The Arduino IDE can target the #odroidgo directly, and you could avoid trying to figure out the ESP32's various hardware by leaning on the existing Arduino support.
(assuming that it's possible to implement a Forth in that environment, of which I have no idea...)
Anyone running #forth on the ESP32?
I came across this thread and with an #odroidgo on the way, it got me thinking...

(thanks @kelbot & @ajroach42 for turning me on to the hardware)
@dustin mastodon avoids a lot of the behaviors and incentives that are criticized in the book.
I’m not sure that masto is *completely* off the hook, but it’s certainly no Facebook 🤣
Just finished, recommended for quitters but more recommended to people who don’t plan on quitting.
I’ll have more to say in an upcoming blog post.
@h @cstanhope no legal constraints, but by this weekend it’s supposed to be +40F so the deep-freeze is temporary.
@cstanhope Thanks! So far so good, most places have had the sense to stay closed (even mail delivery has been suspended).
Of course the one downside of working from home is you office only closes due to Internet outages...
@jjg Good morning jjg. This may be of help.

@pixelfed the website (https://pixelfed.org/) says “coming soon”; is there a way to use Pixelfed now?
