    @inkslinger Don't forget that ham radio is more than narrowband telephony. Locally we're looking at setting up AMPRNet links using 5.8 GHz WiFi devices (look up high-speed multimedia radio), and personally I'm looking into making use of the huge swaths over bandwidth on the 23 cm band. Think access points that can broadcast 100-1000 kbps a few tens of kilometers
