@kara honestly my experience has been that all 3D programs are absolutely terrible to use and the only way anybody likes them is if they've used them a ton

things that have improved my Blender Experience vastly:

1) learning that you can restrict any operation to an axis by typing x, y or z

2) learning that you can then follow that by numeric input to rotate, say, 45deg

3) learning that you can search for operations by just pressing space then typing their name
