@claudiom I have Android 10 on my OnePlus 6T already, and it's generally quite nice.

Sadly, the notch hiding feature isn't here (at least for me). Everything else is great. 👍

I published my very first post on the Mozilla Web Developer Blog, AKA Mozilla hacks. In it, I write about all the cool new #accessibility #auditing features in Firefox 70, like the full page color contrast checker, color vision deficiency simulator, checking for missing text labels, and how to fix keyboard and focus issues. #a11y #webdev

@directhex I'm happy (and very fortunate) it works out in our favor, but wish it was easier for _everyone_.

@directhex Thanks for sharing! I'm super happy it did (eventually) work out well for you.

Going the opposite route, from USA to EU, I experienced some similar stuff, but a lot less hassle than you did. Sorry about my country of origin being so awful to immigrate to. 😟

Germany was mainly happy to let a computer nerd (+ high enough salary) in. And then I was fast-tracked to permanent residence.

Also: Novell/SUSE (and Nat) helped me with lawyers, paperwork, appointments, etc. 👍

Some rough maths to calculate the cost of a new car with a 10 years life cycle. No fuel in the maths.

That costs 133€ / month + eventual car park if any.

If you think that buying a good quality bicycle or an electric bicycle for 3000 € is expensive, a car is a lot more expensive.

When it'll be time for my car, I don't think I'll buy a new one.
I only use it for long travels if no alternative, and renting one for a week is like 150€

My bike is enough for moving around in my city.

@n8 I've opened an issue for Cockpit to handle this, at least minimally: https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/issues/12947

Hopefully we can do more and drive features further down the stack too, to improve systems in general.

reminder: if you made 5000 dollars a day since the year 1219 -- 800 years ago! -- you would still have less total money than Jeff Bezos made *EVERY WEEK* during 2018.

Bezos made over 1.5 billion per week that year; you would only have 1.46 billion
