I don't speak in context of blacks, because I'm not black. That's an entirely separate set of racial issues, and they've gotten the big end of the stick from whites and often natives too. But I'm pretty sure natives would fit the definition of "PoC" even if they "look" white, even if natives are usually forgotten by just about everyone. Because they somehow have this stupid perception their struggle is "won" I guess. 🙄

Many mixed natives put down white /or/ native, whatever will benefit them the most in a given situation, for this reason.

I'm not saying white privilege doesn't exist, cause obviously it does or people wouldn't do this, but the idea of who's white and who's not is complex and multifaceted, and probably can never be fully defined. Sometimes the line is clear. Sometimes the line is barely there. Hence I think the concept of "whiteness" is bogus.

Anyway, for generations, natives have tried to blend in with whites to benefit from white privilege, despite not being white. And it works, surprisingly. They're benefitting from the power structures designed to keep whites at the top, but they're not white. How do you define "whiteness" in such a case?
