a lot of my friends feel very despairing of the bigotry of their fellow workers

and despair that we could have a revolution in the west because racism seems organic

Évacuation de la #ZAD de Kolbsheim depuis ce matin 5h30 avec lacrymo, tronconneuses et hélico pour le #GCO (grand contournement de #Strasboug avec viaduc à 400 mètres de mon jardin), l'autoroute magique pour désengorger Strasbourg...

... Ca ne va pas résoudre les problèmes mais en créer d'autres. Juste une histoire de fric et de lobby au profit de #Vinci, au détriment de l'environnement et de la santé publique. Et aussi un déni de démocratie mais ça on a l'habitude.

Where I went to Gymnasium school,
there were some demos that got exceptionally much countrywide mass media attention for being such a small town.
One of them was a united demo against racism,
where all the parties with parliamentary mandates, from farthest left to farthest right (except the "Christian Democrats") and their youth organizations participated together.
The schools closed so the students that wished to would be free to join the demo,
which overcrowded the town square.

On the roof of a supermarket overlooking the square gathered 5-10 Nazi-supporters with a swastika flag, heiling…
until they dropped the flag and one had to come down to get the flag from the square's stage.
I… may have been the one starting the whole square chanting "Idiot!" at that person.

Now, that person is a local top candidate for the "Sweden Democrat" party.

Good morning. Not waking up to my worst fears today. The neo-fascist Sweden Democrats did not gain as much as expected. But they will still be able to cause severe trouble for any government.

Unless the Moderate Party sells its soul and invites the Swedish Democrats. In that case, we're all lost anyway.

We're looking to add volunteers to help out with #Trunk administration. Mostly that means getting messages by people requesting to be added to a bunch of lists. There's a simple admin interface where you then get to do that. There's also a decent amount of discussion trying to figure out whether we need to add lists, what to call them, how to describe them, that sort of thing. It sometimes feel like a strange mix of philosophy and the Muppet show.
