Same. And... while I would rather not see certain ideas spread, I feel like people often forget that the tools "my side" uses to suppress those ideas can change hands at the drop of a ballot. So we should be careful what we make acceptable.

I really like it so far. I started doing it because I consume so much media, I can never remember where I read or heard something so now I can just jot down notes real quick. Plus I can get to it via ssh real easy :)

Same. ... I do have some conflicted feelings about the things people say, but I listen to the Dan Carlin podcasts and one of the points he keeps returning to is how much violence there's been through human history to try and prevent the spread of ideas.

That's the best! I've started using vimwiki, which can export to html for exactly that. I think currently html export only works with the wiki syntax though. (I use it as a personal notebook, not for a website though.)
