Ceiling light. At 2000K, my bedroom is pretty much lit like a submarine at night. Admittedly, it gives bedtime a bit of a devilish and sinful feel, and might make the neighbors wonder what's going on, but it's merely meant to help me sleep.

Some of the 4x6" fungi field studies scanned all fancy! Weather's warming up and it's all damp out, so more of these will definitely be happening soon.

Nice, didn't know about Etalab. There are also mastodon.iut-larochelle.fr (University of La Rochelle), mastodon.redbrick.dcu.ie (Dublin City University), and mastodonevry.ovh (l'Université d'Evry-Val-d'Essonne).

@cambridgeport90 @bjoern There's also https://mastodon.acc.sunet.se hosted at a Swedish university and as far as public instances I know the French government has https://mastodon.etalab.gouv.fr though I think it's only open to people with a gouv.fr email address, and from Brazil there is https://social.lab.cultura.gov.br which I believe is operated by or with support of their Ministry of Culture. (My Portugese leaves something to be desired.)

Apparently 54% of swedish people are not trusting Facebook. But when asked if they would leave only 1% said yes.

I think having or not having the functionality users are trained to expect will affect adoption. I do use Mastodon less b/c for me Twitter is a nexus where ppl I know from a bunch of different places congregate and a lot of my use is in DM chats. I don't know what the solution is to that. Mastodon doesn't support it & it's hard enough to budge ppl off a platform w/o telling them now they need to join two to do what the one does.
