Well. #StrangerThings Season 2 did not live up to expectations.
It reminds me of #VeronicaMars. Season 1: amazing! Season 2:...

But once you're in it's like Hotel California. You can never leave.
I gave up years ago and just added them to my spam filter.
Oh yeah, it's another week, so i should post some more art. All overwatch fanart and three of some more rendered pieces. Enjoy! :yoitsburdhere:

I really like the look of the screenshot. It fits really well with the Mastodon aesthetic.

If there are connectivity issues, it definitely needs to be transparent to potential users, especially when we're asking friends to join. Like I know tchncs is on shared block lists so I always rec specific instances.
Maybe a "Federation" in green/amber/red depending how many servers it suspends.
Then users could click to get a list so they can make sure no instances they want to communicate with are blocked. Keep the interface streamlined.
@gargron
It would be super useful to know if there are any instances blocked by a given instance when selecting one. Critical if you already have friends on Mastodon.
@Nynotna
Haha. Like Transformers.
@clacke
Apple pie potato chips are a thing in Sweden now.
If you guys have any suggestions for Japanese whisky or sake, they would be super welcome! Pix of the bottle so I know what I'm looking for a bonus. ;)
@mattskala @thor thinking about that has made me much more conscious of how I relate to people with different beliefs, even when I find the belief itself repellent. I don't think I can change anyone's sincere beliefs but I *can* choose not to throw rocks at them and hope that by not driving them back to their own group, it might give them an opportunity to make connections outside their "fam" and make it easier for them to change their own minds in the future.
@deadsuperhero
I bookmarked it to look at more tomorrow. Thank you for introducing it to me!
The SCP Foundation is some weird spinoff of 4chan focused on a fictional foundation that finds objects of power and dangerous beings, and keeps them stored away in a global facility.
SCP means "Secure, Contain, Protect".
Frankly, it's one of the best byproducts of internet communities and collaborative fiction I've ever seen. A lot of the fiction is extremely compelling.
Fell off the "abstinence from politics on social media" wagon hard today. Gotta pick myself up and get back on tomorrow. One day at a time.
@jk
You can't.
This weird little bird is occupying my imagination today. Cack!
@deadsuperhero
Lol what is that site even? It's very funny.
