@docbray Probably going to look into consolidating things for the server once my tax money comes in, so you know. But we should have plenty of time to do it once it does, I will do it either middle of this month or middle of next so we have the time to move things properly. Doing that should hopefully avoid the pinch we had the past month

@docbray @bob That's because they are. It is a performance. It isn't about debate or discussion, it is about behaving a certain way while others are looking. It's the opinion of their peers they care about when they're doing that. "Look at me shouting down the bad people!" This is a lot of why we have this culture of "hot takes" and nasty quote-tweets.
-
@docbray Won't stop the software from trying to use it, though! A lot of pleroma people in particular seem to have run up against it, but worth checking.
-
@docbray @docbray Not friendica specific, but a constant thing people run into in the fediverse is the server trying to connect to ipv6 to servers that only support ipv4 (like mine) so make sure its not trying to grab an ipv6 address.

@purplehippo They're never thinking of the children, or at least not in that sense. They're holding the children's future hostage, until their demands are meant.
I have, personally, pushed a couple times here movements to have elementary and high school teachers deemed an essential service (so they cannot walk off the job). When I was a kid the teachers were constantly on strike and it affected my grades significantly because I wasn't getting the teaching I needed. "Think of the children" indeed.

@docbray For federating here specifically, there's some specific setup to make it federate with ostatus, but I am not familiar with Friendica from the user angle to say what you need to do exactly.

@docbray One thing I'll warn you is that Twitter itself has API limits that make having a working bridge very difficult. And that's nothing to do with the bridge's program, they (twitter) have arbitrary and vague API algorithms that are designed to defeat people trying to bridge twitter to other networks.
-
@bob Yes, one of the biggest lessons of social media to me personally is that a lot of people just aren't listening.
-
@camoceltic It's not related to schools in any way other than the angle where these people want to turn schools into radicalization centres.
-
@bob I have it bookmarked at home because it's referred to a lot, but it's paywalled. If I remember when I get back to the PC, I'll see if it's on sci-hub.
-
"Climate strike"? Really?
-
@bob The study found a weak corellation between gender and perception, but it was within the degree of experimental error and thus not statistically significant. That hasn't stopped people from citing it in their clickbait thinkpieces though.
-
Probably going to have to deferate a few sites for legal reasons.
-
@ninjawedding Well, you asked,
-
@ninjawedding Once, I was addicted to protected types in PASCAL.
-
@mangeurdenuage Hope doggo is feeling better
-
This incidentally was the reason for the unsuccessful movement sone years ago to make credit information Protected B when completed and stored. It would make your financial and credit card data a crime to access in without authorization. The data brokers and their lobbyists rallied to defeat that, though.

@dollhaus So she's Anna Delvey.

@mangeurdenuage @guizzy It looks like a pretty pathetic attempt to try to embarass the UK who arrested Assange with the rather old dirty laundry of political parties that very few people in the UK actually like anyways.
