@becassine Permission de voler ce chat? Il faut que je fasse la vaisselle et il représente à 100% mon état d'âme.

@shmibs @Moon I think the point the people saying that try to say is from the point of view of the immigrant; if you're proud of your culture you shouldn't be willing to lose it to assimilate. And from the receiving culture's viewpoint, obviously they don't want it replaced by immigrating culture. The result of parsing these two opposing viewpoints being "perhaps immigrants of a different culture shouldn't come here at all", which is consistent with what they say and do, I suppose.
They're still operating within the salad bowl metaphor though, both "sides" here are, and I think the melting pot one works as long as you respect the pot's ability to melt the content and not just dump everything in at once.

@tk It's a pentesting/hacking multi-tool/toy. It can interact with (read, save and emulate for now) multiple types of wireless communications (RFID, NFC, 1wire, infrared, sub GHz), act as a Rubber Ducky/badusb device to run scripts on computers you plug it in, and in theory also interact with bare electronics in all sorts of way with the GPIO ports. With a cute Tamagotchi-like interface.

So far, opinions...
- Hardware feels rugged and very well built.
- Badusb implementation; it works but there are some very arbitrary bugs that should have been ironed out before. It can see ducky scripts in subfolders but cannot run them somehow, they need to be at root of badusb folder.
- Could test capturing RFID fairly easily, but I don't have hardware to test emulating it right now. Will try it out next time I have access to such equipment
- Infrared works, but then, that's trivial
- Cannot write apps for it without recompiling the firmware; this is very wtf. They advertised Arduino IDE/PlatformIO compatibility and that'd nowhere to be seen for now.
- No way to transfer files to and from it without the software or an SD card reader; really, it shouldn't be too much to ask to have a mass storage mode, even if it's just to the SD card. If it's not possible while running, I don't care if the mass storage mode is a different boot mode, I just think it should be there. Their computer software is only compiled for x86_64 and a mass storage mode would make it compatible for a lot more functions with basically every computer.
So in all, lots of promise, and the hardware seems to be there to support that, but the software needs work.

@Mitsu Wouldn't work very well talking french
-
@Moon I remember recently I was scoffing at how a restaurant close to my apartment was proudly claiming "since 199-(exact year I didn't remember)", then I stopped and thought "no, wait, that's actually been a while". I felt very old at that moment.

@Mitsu He should probably focus a lot more on what Jehova thinks about him, because he's got some much more serious sinning in his past than a piercing!

@cereal All it says is that market cap is not and has never been a good way to compare how much companies are worth?
