I think the printing press had similar society-disrupting aspects to it (hello Protestant Reformation, among others), and it took a while to get over the disruption.

I think my one clear takeaway from the Trump phenomenon was that allowing illegal immigration to spiral out of control for the past decades was deeply foolish.

So the endgame is to force congress to make a permanent legislative solution for childhood arrivals. If that strategy works, then OK. But Trump seems a bit reckless here.

it's a nice idea, but the reality is those folks don't directly generate a lot of money in our capitalist system. Like it or not, pro athletes generate huge amounts of economic activity, and therefore are justified to be paid crazily.
