I think I may have been to Ichiddo in Dinkytown. I'm not sure though. My wife actually likes Malaysian !ramen, which I'm not sure is actually a thing outside of Baltimore. Anyway, the TC has Bar La Grassa, Bellecour, Young Joni, and a bunch of great non-ramen places, so I think she'll survive.
What's your thought on it versus United Noodles? I think that's our go-to, but my wife is not all that impressed, plus it's so far south and although it's not far from the light rail, my wife always forgets about that. I've never been to Zenbox, but my wife has and I guess she was really not impressed. United Noodles of course has the plus that you can do grocery shopping, which shouldn't really come into play for my question, but may be why we go there...not that we usually buy much.
It's really shocking the North Loop doesn't have a !ramen shop, although we do have Kado no Mise.
I discovered there is another git group, so even though I was not able to join in, I'm going to take that alias off of !vcs ...probably to replace with #hg
I also should mention that if musicians from your region or genre want to promote their !music, they can book directly with Music Manumit at https://nu.federati.net/url/115769
Also, specifically to jazz, there is a CCMA category for that. Glitch would fit very well in the remix category. We also have a !metal category. J-Pop can go with pop and piano and minimalism could really fit a lot of places but minimalism is likely going to fall in our ambient category.
!nalug I know this is kinda spam, but if any of you know of regional musicians and would like them included in the Creative Commons Music Awards, please let me know!
I am helping run the Creative Commons !Music Awards. If you want to see musicians from !Ireland included in the nominees, please send me your suggestions!
For those in the music group, I apologies for the "double-post" but I figured I'd share with those in the Ireland group that there is a music group.
I'd like to get this done by April 30, but the sooner the better as the nominee deadline is April 30. I really don't want the awards to be English-centric, but so far everyone involved is white. We do have prominent female participation, but despite the fact my wife is of Asian descent my music network is almost entirely white. Despite many efforts I haven't been able to get many #Asians or #Africans on #MusicManumit. We've stopped doing Music Manumit at a time that works for Africans, Europeans, or those in the #MiddleEast, so the #CCMA is my way to try to bring people together.
Part of the problem is we are trying to stay away from blocSonic musicians so they can be nominated and not have conflicts being judges.
