    conheci um músico brasileiro que tinha muito orgulho de ter estudado em berklee e ficava bem aborrecido quando o pessoal achava que ele tava falando berkeley torto ;-) parece-me que há uma certa rivalidade entre a costa leste e a oeste.

    yeah, what's the threat model? secure against what?
    in my book, devices with such universal backdoors as taking mandatory updates from the operating system maker, and taking orders from the phone operator to download, install and run arbitrary programs, makes for twice too many universal backdoors. but there may be more that don't come to mind right now.
    any illusion of privacy on these devices made to serve users to surveillance capitalists has to be wishful dreaming based on blind (unverifiable) faith and covered by a think mist of evaporated freedom. it's a very sorry state of affairs.

    sabe?, uma vez eu levei um eletrônico pra consertar. passou anos lá "esperando uma peça" que nunca veio. um dia liguei, pela enésima vez, e falaram que tinham mandado pro depósito. ao que tudo indica, nunca foram atrás, nem da peça, nem do eletrônico pra me devolver. ficaram aguardando um anjo trazer do céu. não tinha como acontecer, né?
    nem sei bem por que lembrei dessa história agora :-)

    ouch! yeah, that's not cool at all. I mean, it's good that people care and make it known, but such bullying, misdirected at that... two wrongs don't make a right. IMHO people should focus such efforts on embarrassing governments that are silent or supporting the massacre, not on fellow citizens who are just as ignored by their governments as in any contemporary so-called democracy :-/

    I'm afraid GNAT has long used GNAT internals in its implementation, and the reason it's "previous version" is because the internals used by each version has changed at pretty much every major version. the property that the previous version must do is one that is tested constantly and maintained at IIUC great effort, as in, desirable changes are postponed to that end.

    you're speaking of a person with an invisible but IMHO very obvious disability. this very disability affects the emotional and sexual development in ways that can be painful and traumatic. it also causes imbalance in skills: individuals can be extremely clever and competent in some skills, while surprisingly naïve in others. you have presumably seen or experienced evils that others can hardly conceive of, but your projecting that evil onto others has distorted how you perceive them. you mistake him for an aggressor, which he isn't; have you ever considered the possibility that he might place himself in the shoes of the person you consider victim of abuse, but in which he might wish he could have had such experiences as a teen, or at least that he could have had a say (autonomy, freedom, does that sound familiar?) to choose whether or not he would like to be such a teen? that, if it were so, he (naïvely?) wouldn't perceive the abuse that you do? that would be quite neurodivergent too, but it's all speculation of mine. the right thing to do is obviously not go about jumping to conclusions and burning presumed witches in the fire, but ask. your ignorance, prejudice, intolerance and persistence are remarkable, but you could use some information. here's something I wrote recently that would evidently be useful for you to appease this hateful monster you've cultivate inside for way too long:
