    I mean, it's not like one can access anything private from a modern smartphone either. indeed, these portable telescreens are designed to control people, these authoritarian bureaucrats are just confused :-)
    joking aside, besides snooping, these tracking devices are immensely distracting. good could come out of being able to look up information in the classroom, but surveillance capitalism has spoiled most devices that could be used to that end, and teachers and kids don't stand a chance of competing with their attention-grabbing techniques developed by some of the smartest people in the world :-(

    não pretendo criticar, mas fugir, seja por necessidade ou por liberalidade, não resolve problema. todos que temos consciência do problema, mesmo que precisemos nos afastar para nos resguardar, devemos também cuidar de enfrentá-lo. para que ele triunfe, basta que não o enfrentemos. não é fácil, é bem preocupante :-/

    justamente, reclamações individuais são muito pouco efetivas, ainda que às vezes surtam efeito. mas normalmente não são exitosas, e nos desgastamos e desanimamos. para conseguir mais, é preciso que nos organizemos politicamente em torno da nossa causa e mobilizemos muitas pessoas mais.

    can relate. but then, you're human. not having an opinion on that issue is a privilege that people in gaza don't have and can't afford. how much of the problem is reinforced because people wash their hands, and allow their own elected governments to go about quietly, or even actively supporting the massacre? not pinning it on you, but your post got me pondering about it :-(

    ballot secrecy. voters have no means to prove or disprove they voted on way or another, and no one can find out how others really voted, so attempts at coercion can be quietly and secretly resisted

    for gnat, long term, one would have to maintain a chain of gnat versions, because each version of gnat normally requires at least the previous version to build. I'm not aware of bootstrap paths for the earliest links in the chain, alas.
